Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de cuivre brut ou de matte de qualité élevée dans un réacteur de fusion directement à partir d'un concentré de cuivre sulfidique renfermant un matériau et/ou une matte de cuivre finement broyée, un gaz renfermant de l'oxygène, un concentré de cuivre et/ou une matte de cuivre finement broyée étant alimentés dans le réacteur. Selon l'invention, un flux renfermant du CaO et SiO¿2? est alimenté dans le réacteur de fusion avec le gaz renfermant de l'oxygène, le concentrée de cuivre et/ou la matte de cuivre, et une partie du cuivre dans le concentré et/ou dans la matte est oxydée de manière à former un laitier dans lequel le rapport CaO/SiO¿2? est supérieur à 1,5, et dans lequel la teneur en cuivre est sous forme oxydée et dans lequel la teneur en chaux calculée dans un système CaO+SiO¿2?+FeO¿x?=100 est supérieure à 20 %.
