Abstract
L'invention concerne un support d'impact pour panier de coulée, constitué d'un matériau réfractaire, comprenant une base ayant une surface d'impact qui, en service, est orientée vers le haut pour recevoir le métal fondu, acier par exemple, déversé sur ledit support, et une paroi latérale s'étendant vers le haut à partir d'au moins une partie de la périphérie de la surface d'impact. Au moins une partie de l'intérieur, et une surface, de la paroi latérale, sont poreuses, et le support d'impact comprend des moyens d'alimentation d'un gaz, argon par exemple, vers l'intérieur poreux de la paroi latérale, afin que le gaz soit envoyé dans le métal fondu à partir de la surface poreuse de la paroi latérale. Le support d'impact peut être utilisé durant la coulée continue de l'acier.
