Abstract

L'invention concerne les séquences d'acides aminés et d'acides nucléiques d'une enzyme .DELTA.?5¿-désaturase et d'une enzyme .DELTA.?8¿-désaturase. Les séquences d'acides nucléiques peuvent s'utiliser pour mettre au point des produits de recombinaison et des vecteurs d'ADN recombiné. Ces vecteurs peuvent ensuite s'utiliser pour transformer plusieurs organismes, y compris par exemple, des végétaux et de la levure. Les organismes transformés produisent ensuite des acides gras polyinsaturés. Les séquences d'acides aminés s'utilisent pour générer des anticorps spécifiques aux enzymes permettant d'identifier les désaturases.
