Abstract
Des eaux résiduaires acides et alcalines provenant d'une installation de blanchiment contiennent des quantités différentes de matières inorganiques et organiques ainsi qu'une teneur en sels variable. Si on mélange ces eaux résiduaires acides et alcalines, cela complique la séparation des différentes substances du flux de processus industriel lors d'un traitement ultérieur et produit aussi de plus grandes quantités d'eaux résiduaires, ce qui est un désavantage avec des procédés visant à concentrer les substances chimiques produites par une telle installation de blanchiment. D'autres problèmes découlent aussi de la formation d'inscrustations dans des surfaces échangeuses de chaleur. L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré, permettant de traiter des eaux résiduaires de processus industriel qui proviennent d'une installation de blanchiment et consistant à concentrer séparément dans des évaporateurs les flux acide et alcalin de ce processus industriel à réduire la teneur en sels du flux acide par électrodialyse et à soumettre à une combustion le flux alcalin. Ce procédé permet de limiter la quantité d'eau recyclée et d'éviter des problèmes liés aux équipements de traitement tout en contribuant à un degré supérieur de concentration des substances chimiques, même si le blanchiment implique d'utiliser du dioxyde de chlore (ECF).
