Abstract
Surt og alkalisk avløpsvann fra et blekeanlegg omfatter ulike mengder uorganisk og organisk mater- iale og har ulike mengder saltinnhold. Dersom det sure og det alkaliske avløpsvannet blandes, blir det vanskeligere å separere de ulike substanser fra prosesstrømmen i en påfølgende behandling, og det resulterer i større mengder avløpsvann, hvilket er ufordelaktig ved metoder hvor målet er å lukke blekeanlegget. Dessuten inntreffer problemer på grunn av dannelsen av inkrustasjoner på varmeover- førings-overflater. Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en forbedret fremgangsmåte ved behandling av prosessavløpsvannet fra et blekeanlegg, hvori den sure og alkaliske prosesstrøm konsentreres separat i fordampere, hvorved saltinnholdet i den sure prosesstrømmen reduseres ved elektrodialyse, og den alkaliske prosesstrømm forbrennes. Denne fremgangsmåte gjør det mulig å redusere mengden av resirkulert vann og unngå problemene tilknyttet prosessutstyret, og fremgangsmåten bidrar også til en høyere grad av lukking sogar når blekingen omfatter klorindioksid (ECF).
