Abstract

Cette unité consiste en un châssis et un couvercle dans lequel se loge ce châssis de façon à constituer deux compartiments. L'un des deux compartiments contient une mémoire à disque qui permet la lecture ou l'écriture d'informations sur un support sous forme de disque. Le dispositif électronique commandant le fonctionnement de la mémoire à disque est monté sur une carte située dans le second compartiment. Un connecteur assure le raccordement du dispositif électronique de commande, reliant ainsi la mémoire à disque à l'alimentation électrique extérieure. Ledit connecteur est installé sur un bord extérieur du châssis, conformément aux normes PCMCIA.
