Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of an automobile as shown in the drawings; the most novel and distinctive features of the automobile are a pair of front fenders, a hood, a grill, a front bumper, front combination lamps, rear combination lamps, and a rear bumper;each front fender presents a side surface and an upper surface; the upper surface of the fender presents a pointed front end portion adjacent the outside end of the front combination lamp and a short rear end projection; the fender also presents a smooth curved inner edge of the upper surface which extends downwards from the rear end projection to the pointed front end portion situated adjacent a first generally V-shaped recess with a rounded bottom which conforms to the outside end of the front combination lamp; the upper end projection of the fender is situated adjacent second generally V-shaped recess with a rounded bottom; the fender also presents a smooth curved ridge-like area which extends rearwards from close to the rounded bottom of the first generally V-shaped recess to close to the rounded bottom of the second generally V-shaped recess; the side surface of the fender also presents a large curved front edge and a ridge that is spaced outwardly from the curved front edge and generally follows the curvature thereof; the side surface of the fender also presents a narrow surface portion to the rear of the large curved front edge, the narrow surface portion widening from the bottom to the top thereof;the hood presents generally straight side edges in top view and a curved rear edge, the hood curving smoothly downwards and forwards away from the curved rear edge to a curved front edge thereof; the symmetrical grill curves forwards from side to side and presents a forwardly projecting central shield-like area with sloped side surfaces which merge into a pair of outwardly extending upper members; the grill also presents a pair of intermediate members which generally follow the contour of the upper members and extend outwards on either side of the central shield-like area; the grill also presents a lower member which is situated below the intermediate members and generally follows the contour of the upper and intermediate members; the front bumper presents a front surface which merges through smooth curved areas into side surfaces of the front bumper; the front surface of the front bumper presents a central recessed grill area therein having rearwards extending narrow top, bottom and side surfaces and rounded corner areas; the side surfaces of the grill area diverge downwards towards the bottom surface thereof; the central grill area presents a central laterally extending rib; the front surface of the bumper above the grill area extends upwards and then bends rearwards and continues upward to present a sloped upper portion of the front surface of the front bumper;each front combination lamp presents a curved transparent front surface having a generally trapezoidal configuration in front view and has a pointed upper outside end which conforms to the generally V-shaped recess with a rounded bottom at the front of the front fender;the rear bumper is generally symmetrical and presents a front surface and side surfaces; the front surface has a smooth curved lower surface section which extends outwards and forwards and merges into the side surfaces through curved corner areas of the rear bumper; the lower surface section of the front surface extends generally vertically downwards and presents a lower elongated inverted generally U-shaped recessed area with an angled upper surface which extends the width of the rear bumper; the lower surface section of the front surface also presents a generally U-shaped area situated adjacent to and extending part way along the upper surface of the generally U-shaped recessed area; the front surface of the rear bumper presents an upper section which has an elongated upper generally U-shaped recessed area having outwardly angled side edges and rounded corners between the bottom edge and the side edges; the upper portion of the outer section of each side of the front surface presents a surface which curves smoothly upwards and forwards; each curved corner area of the rear bumper presents an identical narrow bipointed blade-like area which extends part way along the side surface and part way along the front surface of the rear bumper; each rear combination lamp presents a curved transparent front surface which curves outwards and forwards; the transparent front surface presents a concave inside edge, a downwards and outwards curved top edge, and an outwardly bowed edge extending between the ends of the top edge and the inside edge;
