Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the features of shape, configuration and ornamentation of a motor vehicle as shown in the photographs; the motor vehicle has a pair of front fenders, a bonnet, a radiator grill, a front bumper, headlights, a windshield, two front doors and two rear doors with windows, a roof, a luggage compartment lid with a rear window, rear fenders, rear combination lamps, and a rear bumper;each front fender has a side surface and an upper surface; the upper surface has a narrow front end portion and an upper rear end portion; a smooth curved inner edge extends downwards and inwards from the rear end portion to the narrow front end portion; the curved inner edge of each front fender conforms to the adjacent converging side edge of the bonnet; the narrow front end portion has an adjacent generally inverted U-shaped recess that conforms to the upper edge of the headlight; a ridge extends rearwards from close to the rounded bottom of the generally inverted U-shaped recess to the rear edge of the fender and separates the upper surface and side surface of the front fender; the side surface of each front fender has a large curved front edge which forms part of the front wheel well; a ridge which is spaced outwardly from the curved front edge follows the curvature of the front edge of the side surface; the side surface of each front fender has a shallow and wide recessed area which extends rearwards across the side surface and continues part way across the front door; each recessed area an angled forward edge, an upper laterally extending ridge extending part way across the front door, and a lower lateral ridge which extends to the rear wheel well; the generally symmetrical bonnet has curved forwardly converging sides, a slightly convex curved front edge and a concave curved rear edge both in plan view; the bonnet curves gradually downwards from the rear edge toward the front edge and then curves more steeply downwards near the front edge thereof; the bonnet has converging ridge areas which extend from adjacent the rear edge to the front edge thereof and continue into the upper surface of the front bumper; the generally symmetrical front bumper has a front surface which curves smoothly outwards and rearwards and merges into the side surfaces through curved corner areas; the front bumper has a radiator grill therein which is elongated generally horizontally, has rounded corners, beveled side surfaces, and spaced apart ribs which generally follow the contour of the lower surface of the grill;the front surface of the front bumper has a recessed area on each side of and situated close to the radiator grill; the recessed areas have angled inner edges, generally straight upper edges, downwards and inwards curved outer edges which merge into the inner edges, and rounded corners; the lower portions of the recessed areas have lateral and vertical spaced apart ribs and the upper portions have rhomboid-like fog lamps with rounded corners; each side surface of the front bumper has a concave curved rear edge which forms part of the front wheel well;the headlights are situated on either side of the upper portion of the front bumper and each headlight has an inclined generally teardrop contour;the windshield has a surface which is curved from one side to the other and has a forward edge which conforms to the rear edge of the bonnet, a pair of generally straight side edges which diverge in plan view from the slightly concave upper edge to the lower forward edge thereof;the roof has generally straight side edges and the front edge thereof conforms to the upper edge of the windshield while the rear edge thereof merges into the upper edge of the luggage compartment lid; the luggage compartment lid has a generally straight upper edge in top plan view which merges into generally straight side edges through rounded upper corner areas; the side edges flare outwards and rearwards to the upper edges of the rear combination lamps; the lower edge of the luggage compartment lid curves downwards and inwards around the curved inner edges of the rear combination lamps and then extend straight downwards and inwards and merge through lower corner areas into a straight lower edge of the luggage compartment lid; the rear window is curved from one side to the other and is generally rectangular with rounded corners in elevation view; a pair of rear combination lamps are situated on either side of the luggage compartment lid; each rear combination lamp has a generally polygonal contour with an outwardly bowed inner edge and a straight lower edge in rear elevation view; the lower section of the luggage compartment lid has a lateral raised ridge extending most of the width thereof;the rear bumper is generally symmetrical and has a front surface which extends outwards and forwards and merges with the side surfaces through curved corner areas; a generally horizontal lateral ridge area extends across the front surface and the side surfaces of the rear bumper to the rear wheel wells; the lower surface section of the front surface has a lower elongated inverted generally U-shaped recessed area which extends part of the width of the rear bumper and has a forwards curved inner surface; the lower surface section of the rear bumper has inverted generally U-shaped recessed areas on either side of the lower elongated inverted generally U-shaped recessed area; the front surface has a central shallow recessed area which is generally trapezoidal in elevation view with upwardly diverging beveled side surfaces, a generally horizontal beveled bottom surface, and rounded lower corners; the front surface has an upper section which has an elongated upper generally U-shaped recessed area with upwardly diverging sides, the recessed area conforming to the lower end of the luggage compartment lid; the ends of the rear bumper have concave curved edges which form part of the rear wheel well; the upper side surfaces of the rear bumper merge smoothly into the rear fenders;the rear fenders are situated between the curved rear edges of the rear doors, the side edges of the luggage compartment lid, the outer edges of the rear combination lamps, and the upper and outer edges of the rear bumper; each rear fender has a smooth curved lower edge which forms the upper portion of the rear wheel well;the rear doors have generally rearwards facing bullet-like shaped windows having upper and lower edges of which generally follow the contour of the upper and lower edges of the front door windows.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a front elevation view of the design of a motor vehicle;Fig. 2 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a right front perspective view thereof;Fig. 6 is a right rear perspective view thereof;Fig. 7 is a top plan view thereof;
