Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a rear bumper for an automobile as shown in the drawings; the rear bumper has a front surface and side surfaces; the front surface has a lower surface section which curves outwards and rearwards and merges with the side surfaces through smooth curved corner areas; the side surfaces have concave curved rear edges in elevation view; the bottom of the lower surface section has an elongated inverted U-shaped recessed area which extends most of the width of the rear bumper; the inverted U-shaped recessed area has equally spaced-apart generally identical raised areas on the front and lower surfaces thereof; the lower surface section of the front surface merges through an upwards and rearwards curved transition area into an upper front surface section of the rear bumper which has a wide central U-shaped open area therein having a horizontal bottom surface with rounded corners which merge into side edges of the open area; the side edges diverge outwards and merge into outwardly and upwards and rearwards curved upper edges.Diagrams of the design are included.Fig. 1 is a left front perspective view of the design of the rear bumper for an automobile;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side elevation view thereof; andFig. 5 is a left side elevation view thereof.The stippled lines in the drawings do not form part of the design.
