Abstract
The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration, ornamentation and pattern of a vehicle armrest control unit as shown in the drawings; the control unit has a generally flat top surface portion which merges into a slightly downwardly curved top surface controls area which, in turn, merges into an angled left side portion which extends upwards and to the left away from the top surface controls area; the control unit has a smooth front surface which extends the length of the control unit and merges through a rounded corner into the top surface and through a smooth curved transition area into the bottom surface of the control unit; the bottom of the control unit has a central generally flat surface area situated between lower right end and lower left end scalloped surfaces; the lower left end scalloped surface curves upwards to the left through a curved area and tapers toward the top surface and merges through a corner into the left end surface of the control unit;the angled left side portion has a generally flat top surface and sides which diverge downwards away from a slightly convex left end surface; the top surface of the angled left side portion has a recessed flat screen area situated within beveled upwardly diverging side surfaces extending between beveled upper and lower surfaces; a slightly raised panel section having straight lower and upper edges and straight side edges with curved upper corner edges is situated in alignment with and immediately beneath the recessed flat screen area; the raised panel section has a pair of generally identical spaced-apart controls having generally flat outer surfaces; a generally flat control pad area is situated immediately to the right of the raised panel section;the top surface controls area has a round bellows-like series of concentrically situated sections of decreasing diameter which merge into a control lever having a flattened surface portion with aligned domed circular areas thereon; the flattened surface portion merges into a smooth curved surface and a flat top surface;an arcuate slightly raised panel portion having rounded ends and a series of spaced-apart generally identical circular domed areas thereon is situated to the left of the bellows-like sections; a further irregular shaped slightly raised panel portion having spaced-apart generally identical circular domed areas thereon is situated to the rear of the arcuate raised panel portion;the rear surface of the control unit has a large recessed area having angled side surfaces and a downwardly and rearwards angled rear surface; a generally rounded handle-like portion extends between the outer edges of the angled side surfaces of the wide recessed area; the angled rear surface of the large recessed area has a generally cylindrical raised area situated close to the angled left side surface; the generally cylindrical raised area merges into a generally cylindrical control which is aligned with the generally cylindrical raised area; the generally cylindrical control has a domed outer surface with a small circular depression therein; between the generally cylindrical raised area and the angled right side surface is a further recessed area having a flat bottom surface; the flat bottom surface has generally identical and aligned ribbed controls having laterally extending opposed flat ribs along their length, the ribbed controls extending upwards from the flat bottom surface; a pair of generally rectangular switches are situated between the ribbed controls and the adjacent edge of the top surface of the control unit; a longitudinal slot having a straight slot section which merges into a small generally U-shaped slot section is situated between the generally cylindrical raised area and the rear edge of the large recessed area; a lever having a generally T-shaped upper portion in plan view extends upwards from within the longitudinal slot; spaced-apart generally identical grooves having parallel sides edges and curved surfaces extend generally vertically along the rear surface of the control unit beneath the large recessed area. Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a front perspective view from the right of the design of a vehicle armrest control unit;Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 3 is a bottom view thereof;Fig. 4 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a perspective view from the left side and in front of the vehicle armrest control unit;Fig. 7 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 8 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 9 is a rear perspective view from the right and above of the vehicle armrest control unit;Fig. 10 is a rear perspective view from below of the vehicle armrest control unit; andFig. 11 is a right side elevation view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
