The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a portable electric driver having a battery portion, a driver portion and a grip portion extending between the top of the battery portion and the driver portion; the grip portion has generally symmetrical outwardly curved front and rear surfaces and a trigger extending outwardly to the left from the upper end of the grip portion; a continuous groove extends across the right side of the front and rear surfaces of the grip portion adjacent the battery portion and then bends upwardly and extends upwards toward the trigger through a first smooth curved section to a location on the front and rear surfaces in line with the lower edge of the trigger, the continuous groove then extends upwards through a second curved section to a location adjacent the driver portion where the continuous groove curves through an acute angle and extends toward the rear of the driver portion along the lower surface thereof to a location adjacent the right end of the driver portion and then extends across the bottom of the driver portion; the driver portion has a generally cylindrical central section having four aligned projections extending outwardly from the left end of the central section and a right end section having a smooth convex surface extending outwardly away from the right end thereof; the central section has two elongated generally rectangular panels with rounded corners extending centrally along part of the length of the front and rear surface thereof; each generally rectangular panel is situated within an elongated shallow depression having a bevelled end surface and bevelled side surfaces; a further generally rectangular shallow depression having rounded corners and smooth curved end surfaces extends centrally along the top surface of the central section; the first aligned projection is situated adjacent the left end of the central section and has a series of generally identical longitudinal projections equally spaced apart around the circumference of the first projection; the second aligned projection is generally cylindrical and has a series of generally rectangular shallow depressions equally spaced around the outer surface thereof; the third and fourth aligned projections are frustoconical with the third projection having a larger base diameter and being shorter in length than the fourth projection. In a first variant, the battery portion has a generally flat left side wall, curved front and rear walls, and a right side wall; the left side wall extends between the front and rear walls and the front and rear walls taper inwardly to the right side wall which is narrower than the left side wall; smooth rounded corners extend between the left side wall and the front and rear walls; the battery portion has a bottom surface which extends generally at right angles to the walls of the battery portion, the bottom surface having a central, laterally extending, rectangular area therein; a pair of generally identical U-shaped projections having bevelled side surfaces extend outwardly from the front and rear walls of the battery portion and a third projection having parallel side surfaces extends outwardly from the narrow right side wall.In a second variant, the battery portion has front and rear walls, a generally flat narrow left side wall extending between the front and rear walls, and a narrow right side wall extending between the front and rear walls; the front and rear walls curve outwardly away from the left side wall and the right side wall; smooth rounded corners extend between the left side wall and the front and rear walls and between the right side wall and the front and rear walls; the battery portion has a bottom surface which extends generally at right angles to the walls of the battery portion, the bottom surface having a central, laterally extending, rectangular area therein; a pair of generally identical U-shaped projections having bevelled side surfaces extend outwardly from the front and rear walls of the battery portion and a third projection having parallel side surfaces extends outwardly from the right side wall.In a third variant, the battery portion has front and rear walls, a generally flat left side wall extending between the front and rear walls, and a right side wall which extends between the front and rear walls; smooth rounded corners extend between the left side wall and the front and rear walls and between the right side wall and the front and rear walls; the battery portion has a bottom surface which extends generally at right angles to the walls of the battery portion, the bottom surface having a central, longitudinally extending, rectangular area therein; a pair of generally identical U-shaped projections having bevelled side surfaces extend outwardly from the front and rear walls of the battery portion and a third projection having parallel side surfaces extends outwardly from the right side wall.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a first variant of the design for the portable electric drill;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 4 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a top plan view thereof; andFig. 7 is a bottom view thereof.Fig. 8 is a perspective view of a second variant of the design for the portable electric drill;Fig. 9 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 10 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 11 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 12 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 13 is a top plan view thereof; andFig. 14 is a bottom view thereof.Fig. 15 is a perspective view of a third variant of the design for the portable electric drill;Fig. 16 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 17 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 18 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 19 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 20 is a top plan view thereof; andFig. 21 is a bottom view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
