The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a portable electric hammer drill having generally identical front and rear surfaces but with a depression having beveled surfaces and rounded corners in the front surface only; the portable electric hammer drill has an upper body section, a lower body section, a grip portion spaced apart from the end surface of the upper body section, and a bullet-shaped barrel portion with a narrow flat end surface;the lower body section has a smooth curved upper portion, a smooth curved intermediate portion and a smooth curved lower portion; the lower body section has a beveled shoulder portion between the curved lower and intermediate portions and a smooth curved transition portion between the larger curved upper portion and the curved intermediate portion; the lower portion has a rounded lower edge and a bottom surface having a central circular area with a series of generally identical, spaced-apart radial areas extending outwardly from the central circular area to an outer annular ring area; the bottom surface has a second smaller circular area within a lower end projection having tapered sides and a rounded end; the upper edge of the curved upper portion of the lower body section merges into the lower surface of the upper body section;the upper body section has a flattened upper surface and sides which taper inwardly towards the grip portion; the flattened upper surface has a generally circular depression with a longitudinally extending projection therein, the projection having tapered sides and a flat top surface with inclined ends; the upper body section has a smooth curved broad depression extending part way along the length of the side surfaces of the upper body section and having a pointed end facing towards the barrel section; the end surface of the upper body section facing the grip portion has two series of aligned narrow slots extending outwardly on either side of the grip portion;the upper body section merges into a generally cylindrical end portion of the barrel section, the generally cylindrical portion having four equally spaced-apart generally identical grooves with smooth curved sides extending the length of the surface of the generally cylindrical end portion of the barrel section; the generally cylindrical end portion of the barrel section merges into an aligned narrow generally cylindrical portion which, in turn, merges into a beveled surface of an aligned annular groove;the forward portion of the barrel section has two aligned sections having frustoconical surfaces and the narrow flat end surface has a central cylindrical opening therein; between the annular groove and the forward portion of the barrel section is an intermediate portion having a generally tapered surface which merges smoothly into the larger of the two aligned sections having the frustoconical surfaces, the intermediate portion having a series of spaced-apart generally identical shallow depressions extending along most of the length of the intermediate portion; each depression has a flat inner surface and a slightly rounded and beveled end surface;the grip portion has a smooth curved end surface and rounded upper and lower ends and an intermediate area which bulges slightly outwards in a smooth curve; the inner surface of the grip portion has a longitudinally-extending trigger portion having a generally flat surface and beveled edges.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the design of a portable electric hammer drill;Fig. 2 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 3 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 4 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a top plan view thereof; andFig. 7 is a bottom plan view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
