Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of the vacuum cleaner as shown in the drawings; the most novel and distinctive features of the vacuum cleaner are a roller element having a generally barrel-like shape with slightly convex end surfaces and a series of generally identical equally spaced-apart rib-like areas extending around the surface of the roller element; adjacent the left end surface of the roller element is a series equally spaced-apart identical oblong shallow recesses extending around the surface of the roller element; the top portion of the canister section of the vacuum cleaner has a curved transition element having an oblong flange portion which merges into a downwardly bent tubular-like section; the transition element merges into the top and right rear surfaces of the top portion of the canister section; the top portion of the canister section has a downwards and forwards angled surface and a smooth curved side surface; the left rear of the top portion of the canister section of the vacuum cleaner has a second curved area which merges into the left side surface of the top portion of the canister section, the second curved area having a concentric circular rear end surface; the wand section of the vacuum cleaner has a generally D-shaped in side view grip portion having an oval area on the outer surface thereof; the grip portion has a narrow lower section having flat inner and outer surfaces and grooves extending along the side surfaces thereof; adjacent the grip portion is an enlarged area having a cylindrical projection on the rear surface thereof with an upwardly extending semi-oblong shaped element adjacent the end of the cylindrical projection; adjacent the cylindrical projection are a series of spaced-apart curved rib-like elements; the front surface of the enlarged area has a second series of spaced-apart curved rib-like elements thereon adjacent the lower section of the grip portion; the cleaning tool has flat end surfaces, a generally symmetrical laterally extending front section with a curved upper surface, and a narrow projecting member along the front thereof; the narrow projecting member has a convex front surface and a curved top surface in side elevation view; the curved upper surface of the laterally extending front section merges into the curved upper surface of a larger laterally extending rear section of the cleaning tool; the upper surface of the cleaning tool has a central rearwards extending elbow-like transition portion thereon having a curved upper surface; the curved upper surface of the laterally extending rear section has a downwards and outwards beveled stepped section on either side of the transition portion; the right rear area of the laterally extending rear section has a rearwards extending generally wing-like portion which has a concave rear surface in plan view; the right end surface of the wing-like portion forms part of the flat right end surface of the cleaning tool; the bottom surface of the cleaning tool is flat and has aligned generally identical and generally rectangular openings therein.Diagrams of the design are included.Fig. 1 is a right front perspective view of the design of the vacuum cleaner:Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof,Fig. 3 is a bottom view thereof;Fig. 4 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 5 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a front elevation view thereof; andFig. 7 is a rear elevation view thereof.
