Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a generally symmetrical front bumper for an automobile having side surfaces and a front surface having a central recessed grill area therein; the central grill area has rearwardly extending beveled top, bottom and side surfaces with rounded corners between the top, bottom and side surfaces; the side surfaces of the central grill area diverge downwards towards the bottom surface and meet the bottom surface at rounded lower corner areas; the central grill area has intersecting horizontal and vertical ribs which form a series of generally identical rectangular openings; the front surface of the bumper above the grill area curves smoothly outwards and rearwards and merges through curved corner areas into the side surfaces; the front surface extends upwards and rearwards above the grill area; the upper edge of the front surface is slightly concave; the front surface has a recessed area on each side of and situated close to the central grill area; each recessed area has rearwardly extending bevelled top, bottom and side surfaces with rounded corners between the top, bottom and side surfaces; the top surface of each recessed area is situated below the top surface of the central grill area and the bottom surface of the recessed area generally follows the contour of the bottom surface of the central grill area; each recessed area has a generally flat inner surface with a round area therein, the round area having horizontal spaced-apart grooves therein; each side surface has a central ridge which widens from adjacent the curved corner area to the rear curved edge of the side surface.The portion of the drawings shown in stippled lines does not form part of the design.Diagrams of the design are shown in the figures wherein;Fig. 1 is a front elevation view of the design of the front bumper for an automobile; Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof;Fig. 3 is a right side elevation view thereof; and Fig. 4 is a front and right side perspective view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
