Abstract

FlO PARA USAR NA PROTEÇÃO CONTRA ARCO E CHAMA, TECIDO E VESTIMENTA. Trata-se de um fio, tecido, e vestimenta adequados para uso na proteção contra arco e chama e que possuem proteção contra fogo repentino melhorada, que consiste essencialmente em (a) 50 a 60% em peso de fibra de meta-aramida que possui um grau de cristalinidade de pelo menos 20%; (b) 31 a 39% em peso de fibra modacrílica; e (C) 5 a 15% em peso de fibra de para-aramida: sendo que as ditas porcentagens são à base dos componentes (a), (b), e (C). Em algumas realizações, de 1 a 3% em peso da fibra de meta- aramida é substituída por uma fibra antiestática que compreende carbono ou metal com a condição de que pelo menos 50% em peso da fibra de meta-aramida sejam mantidos. As vestimentas feitas a partir dos fios fornecem proteção térmica de modo que um usuário experimentasse menos que uma queimadura corporal prevista de 65% quando exposto a uma exposição a um fogo repentino de 4 segundos por ASTM F1930, enquanto manter uma avaliação de arco de Categoria 2 por ASTM F1959 e NFPA 70E.
