Abstract

"DENDRìMEROS DE POLìMEROS DE BORRACHA". A presente invenção se refere a um processo para sintetizar um dendrímero de um polímero de borracha compreendendo: (a) reação de um polímero de borracha terminado com lítio com um composto contendo silício halogenado para produzir um polímero que é terminado com porções de silício halogenado, em que o composto contendo silício halogenado tem pelo menos quatro átomos de halogênio que estão ligados diretamente aos átomos de silício, em que a razão molar do polímero de borracha terminado em lítio para os átomos de halogênio no composto contendo silício halogenado está dentro da faixa de 2:n a (n-1) :n, em que n representa o número de átomos de halogênio que estão ligados diretamente aos átomos de silício no composto contendo silício halogenado, em que o composto contendo silício halogenado tem pelo menos três átomos de halogênio que estão ligados diretamente ao átomo de silício; (b) reação do polímero que é terminado com porções de silício halogenado com um excesso molar de álcool terciário para produzir um polímero que é terminado com porções hidróxi silila; e (c) deixar o polímero que é terminado com porções hidróxi silila para acoplar sob condições suficientes para produzir um dendrímero contendo ligações siloxano. Também foi descoberto que dendrímeros similares tendo processabilidade aperfeiçoada podem ser feitos utilizando compostos contendo estanho halogenado em substituição ao composto contendo silício halogenado.
