Abstract
PROCESSO DE REDUçãO DIRETA. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de redução direta para um material metalífero sólido, tendo uma distribuição de tamanho de partículas de tamanho mícron, o processo compreendo o suprimento de material metalífero, um material carbonáceo sólido, um gás contendo oxigênio e um gás de fluidificação em um leito fluidizado em um vaso, mantendo o leito fluidizado no vaso, promovendo a redução pelo menos parcialmente do material metalífero no vaso e descarregando uma corrente de produto que compreende o material metalífero pelo menos parcialmente reduzido proveniente do vaso. O processo é caracterizado por: a) estabelecer e manter uma zona rica em carbono dentro do leito fluidizado; b) passar o material metalífero, incluindo o material metalizado através da zona rica em carbono; e c) injetar o gás contendo oxigênio na zona rica em carbono e oxidar o material metalizado, o material carbonáceo sólido e outros sólidos e gases oxidáveis, provocando uma aglomeração controlada das partículas.
