Abstract
"MéTODOS PARA A REDUçãO DE MATERIAIS CONTENDO óXIDO DE FERRO E DE LATERITA NIQUELìFERA EM UM REATOR". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para a pré-redução de finos de laterita em um reator, preferivelmente um leito fluidizado, com gases redutores gerados in situ por adição de um agente de redução, tal que um material carbonáceo, na câmara do leito fluidizado, fluidizar o leito com um gás o oxidante e manter o reator em uma temperatura suficientemente alta para efetuar a combustão parcial do carvão e gerar uma atmosfera de redução. O produto calcinado de descarga do leito do reator possui um teor de carbono de cerca de 0,1%, e o produto do reator compósito possui um teor de carbono inferior a 2,0%.
