Abstract

Man gibt körnige Kohle und vorgewärmtes körniges Eisenerz einem Schwelreaktor auf, in welchem durch Zufuhr von sauerstoffhaltigem Gas und durch partielle Oxidation der Bestandteile der Kohle Temperaturen im Bereich von 800 bis 1050 °C erzeugt werden. Im Schwelreaktor hält man die körnigen Feststoffe in wirbelnder Bewegung. Aus dem oberen Bereich des Reaktors führt man heisses Abgas zu einem Festoff-Abscheider. Das körnige Eisenerz wird mit dem heissen Abgas vorgewärmt und heisses, körniges Gemisch aus Eisenerz und Schwelkoks wird als Produkt aus dem Reaktor und/oder aus dem Abscheider abgezogen. Der Schwelreaktor kann als Wirbelschichtreaktor oder als pneumatische Förderstecke ausgebildet sein. Das körnige Gemisch aus Eisenerz und Schwelkoks ist z.B. für einen Schmelzreduktionsprozess geeignet.
