Abstract

"PROCESSO DE CARGA DE METAIS DE GRANULOMETRIA FINA EM UM FORNO A ARCO ELéTRICO". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo de carga de metais de granulometria fina, em particular ferro de redução direta (DRI), em um forno a arco elétrico (1), em que o metal é suprido via um tubo descendente (12) para uma abertura (10), proporcionada na abóbada do forno (4), é introduzido no forno (1) por essa abertura (10) como corrente de material a granel (11) e cai sobre o metal fundido (13) meramente por gravidade. Ainda mais, um forno a arco elétrico (1), adequado para essa finalidade, é descrito. Uma introdução relativamente isenta de perda uniforme de material de granulometria fina, tendo um tamanho de grão médio inferior a 1 mm, é obtida por passagem da corrente de material a granel (11), por um orifício de dosagem (8), após o tubo descendente (12) e antes de entrar no forno (1). A corrente de material a granel (11) depois entra no forno essencial e uniformemente.
