Abstract

Horno de tipo gravitacional para la reduccion directa de hierro mineral que comprende una zona de reaccion media (14) en la cual ocurren las reaccionespara reducir el hierro mineral, medios (11) para alimentar el hierro mineral a dicha zona dereacci on (14), medios (18) para introducir una mezcla de gas dereduccion dentro de dicha zona de reduccion (14) y medios (15) para descargar el hierro metálico reducido, dichos medios de descarga comprenden al menos dosextremidades (15a-15c)conformados co mo un cono o un cono truncado, con su ahusamiento hacia abajo, cada uno de los cuales está provisto con unacorrespondiente abertura inferior (16a-16c) a través de las cuales puede ser selectivamente descargado el hierro metálicoreducido en una form a controlada eindependiente.
