Abstract

GENES PUFA-PKS DE ULKENIA. A presente invenção refere-se genes que codificam seqüências específicas para síntases poliquetídeas (PKS). A PKS assim sintetizada à Caracterizada por sua capacidade enzimática de produzir PUFAs (ácidos graxos poiliinsaturados). A invenção abrange, além disso, a identificação das seqüências de DNA correspondentes bem como o uso das seqüências de nucleotídeos para a preparação de organismos recombinantes ou transgênicos.
