Abstract
PROCESSO PARA CONVERTER COBRE O processo para converter um mate de sulfeto de cobre em cobre vesiculado, é obtido adicionando-se o fluxo e mate de sulfeto de cobre em uma fase de escória agitada adequada; e injetando-se, de uma extremidade de descarga na extremidade inferior de uma lança submersa do topo, um gás de oxidação adequado para reagir com o mate para produzir cobre vesículado que forma ou adiciona em uma fase de cobre vesiculado contínua abaixo da fase de escória. A extremidade da lança está localizada dentro da fase de escória em uma profundidade permitindo o gás injetado agitar a fase de escória e reagir com mate de sulfeto de cobre disperso nisso, enquanto impedindo uma proporção significativa do gás de contatar a fase de cobre vesiculado contínua.
