Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A ELETRóLISE DE UMA SOLUçãO AQUOSA DE CLORETO DE HIDROGêNIO OU CLORETO DE METAL ALCALINO". é descrito um processo para a eletrólise de uma solução aquosa de cloreto de hidrogênio ou cloreto de metal alcalino em uma célula de eletrólise, consistindo pelo menos em um semi-elemento de ânodo e de um ânodo, de um semi-elemento de cátodo e de um eletrodo de difusão gasosa como cátodo, de uma membrana trocadora de cátions para a separação do semi-elemento do ânodo e do semi-elemento do cátodo, sendo que se aduz um gás contendo oxigênio ao semi-elemento do cátodo e o gás excessivo, contendo oxigênio, é removido do semi-elemento do cátodo, o qual é caracterizado pelo fato de que o gás excessivo, contendo oxigênio, removido do semi-elemento do cátodo é submetido a uma oxidação catalítica de hidrogênio.
