"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAR UM COMPOSTO DE ANEL POSSUINDO DOIS CENTROS QUIRAIS ADJACENTES". é revelado um processo para sintetização de um composto quiral possuindo um átomo de carbono quaternário portando grupos diastereotrópicos de (a) uma nitroolefina e (b) uma <225>-dicarbonila <244>-substituída ou um composto equivalente possuindo um composto de fração C-H ácida. Uma reação intramolecular subsequente entre um dos substituintes compreendendo o átomo de carbono estereogênico e um dos grupos diastereotrópico compreendendo o átomo de carbono quaternário, cria um novo composto possuindo dois centros estereogênicos contínuos, um dos quais é quaternário, com controle da estereoquímica relativa.
