Abstract
"SELEçãO DE MODO DE TRANSMISSãO PARA TRANSMISSãO DE DADOS EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO MULTICANAL". Trata-se de técnicas para selecionar um modo de transmissão adequado para uma transmissão de dados em um sistema de comunicação multicanal com múltiplos canais de transmissão que têm SNRs variáveis. Em um método, uma estimativa de SNR é inicialmente obtida para cada um de múltiplos canais de transmissão utilizados para transmitir um fluxo de dados. Uma SNR média e uma variância não tendenciosa são em seguida computadas para as estimativas de SNR para os múltiplos canais de transmissão. Um fator de recuo é determinado, por exemplo, com base na variância da SNR e em um fator de escala. A SNR operacional para os canais de transmissão é em seguida computada com base na SNR média e no fator de recuo. O modo de transmissão é então selecionado para o fluxo de dados com base na SNR operacional. O modo de transmissão selecionado está associado com a SNR necessária mais elevada que é inferior ou igual à SNR operacional. O método pode ser utilizado em qualquer sistema com múltiplos canais de transmissão que tenham SNRs variáveis.
