Abstract

"MANTAS NãO-TECIDAS ESTIRADAS UNIDIRECIONALMENTE A FRIO, FABRICADAS A PARTIR DE FIBRAS MULTIPOLIMéRICAS, E ARTIGOS ABSORVENTES DESCARTáVEIS QUE AS CONTêM" Descreve-se uma manta não-tecida de fibras multi-poliméricas que é estirada unidirecionalmente e alongada permanentemente em condições ambientais e apresenta um aumento substancial na resistência à tração na direção do estiramento. A razão da resistência à tração da manta na direção de orientação das fibras para a resistência à tração na outra direção é de pelo menos cerca de 10:1. A razão do alongamento sob carga de pico em uma direção transversal à direção de orientação das fibras é de pelo menos 6:1. As fibras multipoliméricas são normalmente uma mescla de polietileno e um homopolímero ou copolímero de polipropileno, um dos quais é uma fase dominante e um dos quais é uma fase dispersada. Um terceiro componente, que tem propriedades elastoméricas e é pelo menos parcialmente miscível com um dos outros componentes, ou com ambos, é incluído em algumas mesclas.
