Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A INIBIçãO DE FORMAçãO DE INCRUSTAçãO EM UMA UNIDADE DE ELETRODEIONIZAçãO PARA A DEIONIZAçãO DE áGUA, E, UNIDADE DE ELETRODEIONIZAçãO PARA A DEIONIZAçãO DE áGUA". Um processo e aparelho são providos para a inibição de incrustação em um sistema de eletrodeionização e, mais particularmente, para a elevação da tolerância a rede na água alimentada a uma unidade de eletrodeionização por meio da inibição de precipitação de cátions metálicos que formam incrustação, contidos na água alimentada e, deste modo, elevando a eficiência do sistema de eletrodeionização. água a ser purificada é passada através de uma unidade de eletrodeionização, na qual o fluxo no compartimento de diluição em contracorrente ao fluxo no compartimento de concentração. Isto é para impedir a migração de cátions metálicos que formam incrustação desde o compartimento de diluição, através da membrana de troca de cátions, para o compartimento de concentração, e para o lado do compartimento de concentração da membrana de troca de ânions, deste modo prevenindo a formação de incrustação sobre a membrana de troca de ânions. A unidade de eletrodeionização pode ser ainda modificada por meio da divisão dos compartimentos de concentração em primeiro e segundo compartimentos por meio de um diafragma poroso ou membrana de condução de íons. O diafragma poroso ou membrana de condução de íons elimina efetivamente o transporte convectivo de cátions metálicos que formam incrustação desde o lado de membrana de troca de cátions do compartimento de concentração para o lado de membrana de troca de ânions do compartimento de concentração, deste modo inibindo a formação de incrustação sobre a membrana de troca de ânions.
