Abstract

<B>USO DE UMA SUBSTâNCIA NATURAL CONTENDO TIMOL NA FABRICAçãO DE ALIMENTO ANIMAL<D> A presente invenção se refere ao uso de uma substância natural contendo timol na fabricação de um alimento animal ou de um suplemento aquoso de bebida para alívio, cura ou prevenção de doenças causadas por clostridium sp - particularmente clostridium perfringens - no aparelho intestinal de animais, tais como aves domésticos e mamíferos. A substância natural preferivelmente contém uma mistura de guaiacol, timol, eugenol, capsaicin, tanino e ao menos um cresol. A presença da mistura também aperfeiçoa a capacidade de digestão do alimento e a taxa de crescimento dos animais. Também são descritos um alimento animal contendo 1-500 ppm da mistura, com a condição de que o alimento não contém qualquer agente emulsificante de superfície ativa, e um suplemento aquoso de bebida, bem como uma pré-mistura e um aditivo de alimento adaptado para o uso na fabricação do alimento animal.
