Abstract

"PROCESSO DE FIAçãO COM FUSãO PARA FIARFILAMENTOS POLIMéRICOS CONTìNUOS". A presenteinvenção se refere a um processo de fiação com fusão para fiarfilamentos poliméricos contínuos, sendo gás refrigeranteintroduzido em filamentos em fusão recém extrudados em uma zonaabaixo da tubeira de fiação. Os filamentos e o gás refrigerante sãopassados conjuntamente para fora da zona através de um tuboque tem uma dimensão limitada e que circunda os filamentos àmedida que eles são resfriados. O topo do tubo é espaçado em até80 cm abaixo da face da tubeira de fiação. Ao acelerar o gás demodo que ele deixe o tubo a uma velocidade que é inferior àvelocidade dos filamentos, e ao deixar o topo do tubo espaçado amenos do que 80 cm abaixo da tubeira de fiação, é possívelproduzir um fio com uma uniformidade melhorada sem acarretarproblemas de manipulação. Adicionalmente, com esse processo, épossível aumentar a velocidade de retirada do fio sem umaredução correspondente no alongamento ou um aumento natensão de estiramento.
