Abstract
"BOMBA DE FORNECIMENTO DE COMBUSTìVEL E PROCESSO DE OPERAR UM SISTEMA DE INJEçãO DE COMBUSTìVEL". Os êmbolos de bombeamento (44) são acionados em sentido radial para fora e retirados para dentro por um excêntrico (38, 110) girado pelo eixo de acionamento da bomba e sapatas deslizantes apresadas afins (90). Uma vez que as sapatas são forçadas a seguir o excêntrico por todos os 360°de rotação, as sapatas propriamente ditas podem desempenhar um papel integrante na implementação da função de uma válvula de retenção de entrada (106), que controla o fluxo através de uma passagem de carregamento (104) em cada êmbolo em uma direção radial para fora, até uma respectiva câmara de bombeamento de êmbolo. Um combustível de pressão relativamente baixa, contido na cavidade de bomba (36) que circunda o componente de acionamento, é retirado, através de aberturas (106) existentes na extremidade radial interna do êmbolo, através de uma passagem de entrada no êmbolo, e introduzindo na câmara de bombeamento. A trajetória que o combustível de baixa pressão segue a partir da cavidade para dentro da passagem de entrada do êmbolo, pode ser implementada de diversas maneiras, inclusive pelo fluxo direto de uma parede lateral radial interna do êmbolo para dentro da passagem de entrada central; pelo fluxo através de uma fenda no componente de acionamento, que fica em registro com um orifício em cada sapata e que, por sua vez, fica em comunicação fluida com a passagem de entrada existente no êmbolo; ou a retenção das sapatas de encontro ao componente de acionamento pode permitir uma ligeira separação entre uma sapata e o componente de acionamento momentaneamente, de modo a permitir a entrada do combustível de baixa pressão no orifício na base da sapata, que fica por sua vez em comunicação fluida com a passagem de entrada existente no êmbolo.
