Abstract

"PROCESSO DE GERAçãO DE GASES REFORMADOS, E, REFORMADOR DE GáS PARA GERAR GASES REFORMADOS". Processo e aparelho para produção de gases reformados. Gás natural e oxigênio são submetidos a combustão em um primeiro estágio (196) para produzir dióxido de carbono e água. Os produtos de combustão são transportados para um segundo estágio (202). Gás de reforma e oxigênio são injetados no segundo estágio (202) e misturados com os produtos de combustão para reagir com o dióxido de carbono e água e produzir monóxido de carbono e hidrogênio. O processo e aparelho são particularmente adaptados para uso na suplementação dos gases reformados produzidos em uma planta de ferro de redução direta, em que minério de ferro é reduzido a ferro em um forno de cuba. O processo e aparelho podem também ser usados para fornecer gás natural de enriquecimento aquecido para uso como fonte de carbono no forno de cuba, para proporcionar carburação do ferro.
