Abstract

"PAPEL REVESTIDO COM UM PIGMENTO, PAPEL PARA IMPRESSãO DE ROTOGRAVURA, E, PROCESSO PARA SUA PREPARAçãO" A presente invenção está relacionada a um papel revestido com um pigmento para revestimento para impressão de rotogravura, e a um processo para preparar tal papel. Além disso, a invenção está relacionada a um processo para a preparação de um pigmento de carbonato de cálcio aragonítico para revestir papel que é últil na impressão de rotogravura. A presente invenção está ainda relacionada a partículas de carbonato de cálcio precipitado possuindo uma relação de aspecto de aproximadamente 3:1 a aproximadamente 15:1, de preferência de aproximadamente 4:1 a aproximadamente 7:1, e uma distribuição de tamanho de partícula multimodal, a qual é de preferência bimodal ou trimodal. De preferência o carbonato de cálcio precipitado aragonítico está presente em uma quantidade de aproximadamente 20 por cento a aproximadamente 100 por cento em peso. Tipicamente o carbonato de cálcio precipitado aragonítico possui uma área de superfície específica de aproximadamente 4 m²/g a aproximadamente 15 m²/g, de preferência de aproximadamente 5 m²/g aproximadamente 7 m²/g. Os pigmentos de carbonato de cálcio precipitado da invenção podem ser usados ainda com dióxido de titânio, talco, argila calcinada, branco acetinado, pigmentos plásticos, triidrato de alumínio, mica, ou misturas dos mesmos. Outros aditivos úteis incluem ujm aglutinante de látex sintético, tal como um aglutinante de estireno/butadieno ou acrílico, um coaglutinante como amido, um insolubilizante de amido tal como uma resina melamina/formaldeído, e estearato de cálcio como um lubrificante.
