Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"CATALISADOR E PROCESSO PARA A REFORMA DE NAFTA"<D>. A invenção proporciona um catalisador reformador de zeólito cristalino do tipo L, que é composto por cristais conformados em forma cilíndrica tendo um comprimento de 0,6 mícrons ou menos e uma proporção média de comprimento: diâmetro de menos do que cerca de 0,5, o catalisador contendo pelo menos um metal do Grupo VIII e a partir de cerca de 0,1 até 2% em peso de halogênio, como por exemplo o cloro. Também é proporcionado um método para a ativação ou regeneração do catalisador, no qual um catalisador fresco ou isento de coque é óxi clorado, purgado para a remoção do excesso de cloro e reduzido. Os catalisadores são especialmente úteis para a reforma das C~ 6~ até C~ 11~ naftas para a produção de materiais reformados tendo um alto teor de C~ 6~ a C~ 8~ aromáticos leves e um teor reduzido de aromáticos C~ 9~ a C~ 10~ mais pesados.
