Polioxometalatos cataliticamente ativos contendo manganês da fórmula (1) e processos para a sua preparação (Q)~ q~(Mn~ p~ A~ a~ X~ x~Y~ y ~M~ m~ o~ d~ Z~ z~(H~ 2~o)~ b~)cH~ 2~o) (1), Os símbolos Q, A, X, Y, M, Z, q, p, a, x, y, m, z, d, b, e c têm o seguinte significado: Q representa um ou vários cátions escolhidos do grupo H, Li, K, Na, Rb, Cs, Ca, Mg, Sr, Ba, Al, PR^ 1^R^ 2^R^ 3^R^ 4^ e NR^ 1^, R^ 2^, R^ 3^ e R^ 4^ com R^ 1^, R^ 2^, R^ 3^ e R^ 4^ = H ou C~ 1~C~ 20~-alquila, C~ 5~-C~ 8~-cicloalquila ou arila; o índice q encontra-se na faixa de 1 até 60, especialmente na faixa de 1 até 40 e descreve nos contracátions monovalentes simultaneamente a carga das unidades aniónicas; Mn é manganês; o índice p encontra-se na faixa de 0,1 até 10; A é um heterometal e representa um ou vários metais de transição do 2° até 8° subgrupo além de Zn, especialmente Ru, V, Ti, Zr, Cr, Fe, Co, Cu, Sn, Ni, Re ou os; o índice a encontra-se na faixa de 0 até 10; X representa um ou vários elementos escolhidos do grupo Ga, B, P, Si, Ge, As, F, Cl, Br e J; o índice x encontra-se na faixa de 0 até 10; Y representa Sb, S, Te, Se e Bi; o índice Y encontra-se na faixa de 0,1 até 10; M representa um ou vários metais de transição escolhidos do grupo Mo, W, Nb, Ta e V; o índice m encontra-se na faixa de 0,5 até 60; Z representa um ou vários ânions escolhidos do grupo oH^ -^, F^ -^, Cl^ -^, Br^ -^, I^ -^, N~ 3~^ -^, No^ -^, Clo~ 4~^ -^, NCS-, SCN-, PF~ 6~^ -^, RSo~ 3~^ -^, CF~ 3~So~ 3~^ -^, BR~ 4~^ -^, BF~ 4~^ -^oAc^ -^, com R = H, C~ 1~-C~ 20~-alquila, C~ 5~-C~ 8~-cicloalquila ou arila; o índice z encontra-se na faixa de 0 até 10; o índice d representa o número de átomos de oxigênio necessário para o equilíbrio da carga e b e c são números na faixa de 0 até 50. os catalisadores de oxidação descritos ativam particularmente bem compostos peroxídicos e oxigênio.
