Abstract

"PROCESSO DE REMOçãO SELETIVA, ACURADA, DE TECIDO CORNEAL, E ALTERAçãO DE SUA CURVATURA, PARA CORREçãO DA VISãO REFRATIVA DE UM OLHO E APARELHO PARA SUA REALIZAçãO". Um processo para a remoção seletiva de tecido corneal, e alteração de sua curvatura, para correção de visão refrativa, por intermédio de um gabarito de correção em conjunção com um micro-ceratótomo a jato d'água de alta pressão de corte planar. O gabarito de correção e adaptado para proporcionar uma guia cortante planar, sobre o tecido corneal, para a correção refrativa requerida, com o gabarito sendo conformado com uma superfície não-planar de configuração predeterminada (relacionada com a correção desejada). A superfície não-planar do gabarito é ajustada à área da córnea a ser refrativamente corrigida, por intermédio do qual o tecido corneal a ser removido é seletivamente deformado se maneira a ser substancialmente amoldado a e retido contra a superfície não-planar. A aplicação de um vácuo entre o gabarito e a córnea auxiliar esta retenção. O micro-ceratótomo a jato d'água em uma configuração lamelar proporciona um corte planar transversal pleno não-varredor através do tecido corneal em uma posição adjacente ao gabarito, de tal maneira que a liberação do tecido corneal do gabarito resulta na sua configuração não-deformada do mesmo dotada da correção desejada.
