Abstract

remoção de impurezas em um sistema de conversão de ferro. a presente invenção refere-se a métodos e sistemas para produzir ferro a partir de um minério contendo ferro e remover impurezas encontradas no minério contendo ferro. por exemplo, um método para produzir ferro compreende fornecer uma matéria-prima tendo um minério contendo ferro e uma ou mais impurezas para um subsistema de dissolução compreendendo uma primeira célula eletroquímica; produzir uma solução rica em ferro, no subsistema de dissolução; tratar a solução rica em ferro para remover pelo menos uma porção de uma ou mais impurezas aumentando o ph da solução rica em ferro de um ph inicial para um ph ajustado, precipitando assim pelo menos uma porção de uma ou mais impurezas na solução rica em ferro tratada; distribuir a solução rica em ferro tratada a um subsistema de galvanização de ferro tendo uma segunda célula eletroquímica; a segunda redução eletroquímica de pelo menos uma primeira porção dos íons fe2(mais) formados transferidos para fe metálico; e remover o metal fe da segunda célula eletroquímica produzindo assim ferro.
