Abstract

MÉTODO PARA TRATAR UM CATALISADOR USADO. A presente invenção refere-se a um método para tratamento de um catalisador usado contendo pelo menos um óxido mineral refratário, um ou mais metais na forma de sulfeto(s) selecionado(s) a partir dos seguintes metais: molibdênio, níquel, cobalto, tungstênio, vanádio, bem como compostos de carbono, este método compreendendo as seguintes etapas sucessivas: a) em um forno de fundição do tipo conversor rotativo, preparar uma fusão de ferro fundido no estado fundido sobre o qual há uma camada de escória; então b) introduzir no forno o referido catalisador usado e colocar o mesmo em contato com a escória e a fusão de ferro fundido no estado fundido, enquanto mantém o forno em rotação e enquanto injeta um gás oxidante contendo oxigênio no forno, acima da mistura de catalisador, escória e ferro fundido, de modo a provocar a combustão dos compostos de carbono e/ou enxofre que são liberados do catalisador em contato com a escória e o ferro fundido líquido; então c) extrair do forno por fundições sequenciais a escória formada na etapa b) de modo a, por um lado, recuperar no forno uma fusão de ferro fundido enriquecido com metal ou metais e, por outro lado, recuperar uma escória contendo os componentes do catalisador que não sejam metais, com exceção do vanádio que, quando o catalisador usado contém vanádio, acaba na escória.
