Abstract

trata-se de um processo para extrair metais a partir dos concentrados de minerais sulfurados que contêm os mesmos aplicando redução direta com regeneração e reciclagem do agente redutor ferro e do fundente carbonato de sódio. é uma combinação de processos pirometalúrgicos e hidrometalúrgicos diferentes dos convencionais, que não precisam de uma torrefação anterior do concentrado de minerais sulfurados e que resultam técnica e economicamente mais vantajosos que os processos utilizados atualmente devido ao fato de que reduzem a zero o estado de oxidação positivo do metal de modo direto, empregando apenas um reator para a extração de metal, regenerando e reciclando os suprimentos metalúrgicos com processos complementários e com uma alta velocidade na cinética das reações químicas, sem gerar escórias nem gases contaminantes. a extração de metais é conseguida a um custo reduzido e de modo ambientalmente sustentável.
