Abstract

ESPUMA RÍGIDA DE POLIURETANO OU POLI-ISOCIANURATO, POLIOL POLIÉSTER, MISTURA E MÉTODOS. São divulgados poliuretano rígido ou espumas de poli-isocianurato, polióis poliéster usados para produzi-los e métodos para formular as espumas. As espumas compreendem um produto de reação de um poli-isocianato, um poliol poliéster, água, um surfactante, um catalisador e ingredientes opcionais. Os polióis poliéster compreendem um poliácido contendo ftalimida, um poliol contendo ftalimida, ou uma combinação destes. As espumas rígidas produzidas a partir dos polióis poliéster exibem maior estabilidade térmica e/ou maior intumescência quando comparadas com espumas feitas de outros polióis poliéster. Os polióis poliéster contendo ftalimida devem permitir que os formuladores melhorem o desempenho de inflamabilidade de espumas rígidas com níveis reduzidos de retardantes de chama e/ou índice inferior e devem facilitar a produção de painéis de isolamento mais finos.
