Abstract
MÉTODO PARA ENUMERAÇÃO DE BACTÉRIAS EM AMOSTRAS LÍQUIDAS, E PORTADOR DE AMOSTRA USADO PARA ESTE MÉTODO. A presente invenção se refere a um método para detecção e/ou quantificação de micro-organismo em uma amostra líquida, em particular em uma amostra de água, o método compreendendo as etapas de: (a) distribuir a amostra líquida em inúmeras diferentes partes de volume discretas em um padrão de distribuição linear, ou diluir a amostra líquida em inúmeras amostras de diluição por um fator de diluição de um padrão de distribuição linear; (b) permitir que o micro-organismo cresça; e (c) aplicar o método do Número Mais Provável nas partes de volume linearmente distribuídas ou nas amostras de diluição linearmente diluídas para detectar e/ou quantificar o micro-organismo. A invenção também revela um portador de amostra para detecção e/ou quantificação de micro-organismo em uma amostra líquida, em que o portador de amostra é estruturado para portar a amostra líquida em inúmeros compartimentos diferentes, em que os compartimentos diferentes, respectivamente, definem uma distribuição de volume linear.
