Abstract
Trata-se de sistemas e métodos para planejamento cirúrgico ortognático. Um método implantado por computador exemplificativo pode incluir gerar um modelo tridimensional (3D) compósito do crânio de um indivíduo, definir um quadro de referência global para o modelo 3D compósito, realizar uma análise cefalométrica no modelo 3D compósito para quantificar pelo menos uma propriedade geométrica do crânio do indivíduo, realizar uma osteotomia virtual para separar o modelo 3D compósito em uma pluralidade de segmentos, realizar uma simulação cirúrgica com o uso dos segmentos osteotomizados e projetar um esplinte ou molde cirúrgico para o indivíduo.
