Abstract

A invenção se refere ao uso de pelo menos um aditivo reológico de organoargila mista que compreende ou consiste em uma mistura de argila mineral tratada com sal de alquilamônio quaternário preparada ao formar uma pasta aquosa de argila hormita (a), formar uma pasta aquosa de argila esmectita b), combinar a pasta aquosa de argila hormita (a) com a pasta aquosa de argila esmectita (b) para formar uma pasta de argilas combinadas (c), tratar a pasta de argilas combinadas (c) com um ou mais sais de alquilamônio quaternários, separar a mistura de argila mineral tratada com sal de alquilamônio quaternário assim produzida do meio aquoso, em que a pasta aquosa de argila hormita (a) é formada ao (i.1) dispersar uma fração de uma ou mais argilas hormitas selecionadas a partir do grupo de sepiolitas e paligorsquitas em meio aquoso para formar uma dispersão e a pasta aquosa de argila esmectita (b) é formada ao (ii.1) dispersar uma fração de uma ou mais argilas esmectitas em meio aquoso para formar uma dispersão, e em que o peso do teor de argila hormita excede o peso do teor de argila esmectita na pasta de argilas combinadas (c); e submeter as dispersões formadas em (i.1) e (ii.1) a cisalhamento de fluido em alta velocidade antes de realizar a etapa iii. e/ou após ter realizado a etapa iii; e em que a fração de uma ou mais argilas hormitas empregadas na formação da pasta aquosa de argila hormita (a) tem uma amplitude integral B definida de acordo com a reflexão com índices de Miller (110) de menos de 0,800 unidades de varredura em um padrão de raios X de pó gravado sobre uma amostra glicolada orientada da fração de argila hormita usando radiação Cu-K¿1, em uma composição líquida que compreende pelo menos um poliéster insaturado. A invenção também se refere a um processo para a produção de um aditivo de reologia de organoargila mineral mista e ao uso do aditivo assim produzido como um agente espessante em composições líquidas.
