Abstract
a invenção refere-se a um processo para a fabricação de microesferas termoplásticas termicamente expansíveis. o processo compreende o fornecimento de uma mistura de materiais monoméricos adequados para polimerização para formar um polímero termoplástico e pelo menos um agente de sopro, fornecendo à mistura uma sílica coloidal que é modificada pela superfície com pelo menos um grupo organossilano hidrofóbico e formando uma emulsão. a polimerização é realizada para formar as microesferas termoplásticas termicamente expansíveis. a invenção refere-se ainda a microesferas termoplásticas termicamente expansíveis, microesferas expandidas e seu uso na fabricação de produtos.
