Abstract
Um instrumento eletrocirúrgico no qual um amplificador para obter energia de micro-ondas está localizado na mesma região em uma estrutura radiante para fornecer essa energia em uma porção distal do instrumento. O instrumento pode ser inserível através do canal de instrumento de um dispositivo de scópio cirúrgico, por exemplo, endoscópio. Toda a linha de geração de micro-ondas pode ser incorporada ao instrumento, de modo que somente a energia de entrada CC seja necessária. As perdas de energia de micro-ondas e as desvantagens associadas presentes em dispositivos conhecidos podem, portanto, ser evitadas. O amplificador pode ser fabricado usando materiais semicondutores de intervalo de banda larga, tal como ligas de GaN e à base de GaN que oferecem a capacidade de fabricar dispositivos que são ativos em RF e frequências de micro-ondas.
