Abstract

a presente invenção se refere a um processo para fabricar uma folha de papel e/ou cartão a partir de uma suspensão fibrosa, de acordo com o qual, antes da formação da dita folha, são adicionados à suspensão fibrosa, em um ou mais pontos de injeção, pelo menos dois auxiliares de retenção respectivamente: (a) pelo menos um polímero catiônico orgânico solúvel em água p1 que tem uma cationicidade maior do que 2 meq.g-1, e (b) pelo menos um polímero anforético solúvel em água p2 de pelo menos um monômero aniônico e de pelo menos um monômero catiônico. o polímero p2 é adicionado à suspensão fibrosa após dissolver, em solução aquosa, o polímero p2 obtido previamente por uma das seguintes técnicas de polimerização: - polimerização em gel, polimerização em suspensão, polimerização em emulsão inversa, polimerização em dispersão. o polímero p2 tem um fator f > 2, sendo que o dito fator f é definido pela fórmula: f=ul² x [(100-a)/(100-c)] com ul: viscosidade brookfield do polímero p2 em 0,1% em peso em uma solução aquosa 1m de nacl, a 23°c, com um módulo ul e em 60 rev.min-1, sendo que a e c correspondem, respectivamente, às porcentagens molares dos monômeros aniônico e catiônico do polímero p2.
