Abstract
sistemas e métodos utilizando sensores de resposta magnética para determinar uma característica genética. o método de sequenciamento por síntese (sbs) é fornecido o qual inclui o fornecimento de um aparelho de detecção que inclui uma série de sensores que respondem magneticamente. cada um dos sensores que respondem magneticamente está localizado próximo de um respectivo espaço designado para detectar uma propriedade magnética a partir deste. o aparelho de detecção também inclui uma pluralidade de cadeias de molde de ácido nucleico localizadas dentro dos correspondentes espaços designados. o método também inclui a realização de uma pluralidade de eventos sbs para desenvolver uma cadeia complementar incorporando nucleotídeos ao longo de cada cadeia de molde. pelo menos alguns dos nucleotídeos estão ligados a partículas magnéticas correspondentes com propriedades magnéticas respectivas. cada um dos vários eventos sbs inclui a detecção de mudanças na resistência elétrica nos sensores de resposta magnética causados pelas respectivas propriedades magnéticas das partículas magnéticas. o método também inclui a determinação de características genéticas das cadeias complementares com base nas mudanças detectadas na resistência elétrica.
