Abstract

Se proporciona un método de síntesis por secuenciación (SBS) que incluye proporcionar un aparato de detección que incluye una matriz de detectores magnéticamente sensibles. Cada uno de los detectores magnéticamente sensibles está situado cerca de un correspondiente espacio designado para determinar una propiedad magnética del mismo. El aparato de detección también incluye una pluralidad de hebras molde de ácido nucleico situadas en el interior de los correspondientes espacios designados. El método también incluye realizar una pluralidad de eventos de SBS para hacer crecer una hebra complementaria incorporando nucleótidos a lo largo de cada hebra molde. Al menos parte de los nucleótidos están unidos a las correspondientes partículas magnéticas que tienen las correspondientes propiedades magnéticas. Cada uno de la pluralidad de eventos de SBS incluye detectar cambios en la resistencia eléctrica de los detectores magnéticamente sensibles producidos por las correspondientes propiedades magnéticas de las partículas magnéticas. El método incluye también determinar las características genéticas de las hebras complementarias basándose en los cambios detectados en la resistencia eléctrica.
