um processo para fracionamento de um éter de celulose esterificado compreendendo grupos de fórmula ? c(o) ? r ? cooh, em que r é um grupo hidrocarboneto divalente compreende as etapas de a) misturar o éter de celulose esterificado compreendendo grupos de fórmula ? c(o) ? r ? cooh com um líquido aquoso e ajustar a temperatura da mistura resultante para menos de 10°c para dissolver uma porção do éter de celulose esterificado no líquido aquoso, b) separar a porção não dissolvida do éter de celulose esterificado do restante da mistura e c) recuperar ou descartar o éter de celulose esterificado que está dissolvido no líquido aquoso.
