Abstract

um método para extração e separação de elementos de terras raras compreendendo fornecer um minério ou rejeitos de mineração contendo terras raras; moer o minério contendo terras raras para formar minério em pó; lixiviar com, pelo menos, um ácido mineral, formando uma solução de lixiviação compreendendo, pelo menos, um íon metálico, elementos de terras raras e um material sólido; separar o material sólido da solução de lixiviação para formar concentrado aquoso de metal; precipitar o concentrado aquoso de metal para remover seletivamente o íon metálico da solução de lixiviação e obter um precipitado de elementos de terras raras; aquecer o precipitado de elementos de terras raras em ar para formar óxido de elementos de terras raras; misturar o óxido de elementos de terras raras com um sal de amônio e aquecer em ar seco/nitrogênio; formar uma mistura de sais de terras raras anidros em uma solução aquosa e separar os elementos de terras raras da solução aquosa por meio de um processo de extração eletrolítica.
